Course Description

General information: This course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches the American Heart Association Bloodborne Pathogens course. Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. • The length of this class is 1 hour. • Students receive an AHA certification card valid for one year. • Cost $42 Audience: The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens, such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff, and tattoo artists.
